SLM124 is a first‑in‑class antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) developed by SLAM Bio that targets the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family member 5 (SLAMF5, also known as CD84), which is highly overexpressed on multiple hematologic malignancies. Preclinical data presented in Blood and by SLAM Bio show that SLM124 binds CD84 with high affinity and delivers a cytotoxic payload to CD84‑positive tumor cells, producing potent anti‑tumor activity and favorable tolerability in models of acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, cutaneous T‑cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma.[1][5][8] By targeting CD84 on malignant cells and modulating an immunosuppressive pathway used by cancer cells to evade immune surveillance, SLM124 is designed both to directly induce tumor cell killing via its conjugated payload and to promote anti‑tumor immune activation, and is planned to enter first‑in‑human clinical trials in hematologic cancers around 2026.[1][5][8]
