Overview

**Slounase** is a venom-derived hemocoagulase injection marketed by Lee's Pharmaceutical and manufactured by Zhaoke Pharmaceutical (Hefei) for hemostasis and reduction of bleeding. It contains the thrombin-like snake-venom serine protease **batroxobin** together with factor X-activating activity. Batroxobin promotes fibrin formation through cleavage of fibrinogen, while the factor X-activating component supports coagulation and platelet-fibrin clot formation. Preclinical studies reported restoration of hemostasis in heparin-anticoagulated and factor Xa inhibitor-treated mouse models.
