Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SLP07 is an investigational synbiotic formulation developed for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), formerly known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The product consists of a proprietary blend of naturally occurring, food-grade probiotic strains from the *Bifidobacterium* and *Lactobacillus* genera, combined with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E. SLP07 is designed to modulate the gut microbiota and the gut-liver axis, potentially reducing liver injury by decreasing gut-derived lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α. The inclusion of vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids provides additional antioxidant and lipid-lowering effects to improve liver function and reduce hepatic steatosis.
