Overview

SLRN-517 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed to target a distinct epitope of c-KIT (also known as the stem cell growth factor receptor), a validated target implicated in mast cell activation. By inhibiting c-KIT, SLRN-517 was designed to reduce mast cell activity, with the primary therapeutic focus on chronic urticaria and potential applications in other diseases where mast cells play a central role, such as prurigo nodularis, bullous pemphigoid, and eosinophilic esophagitis. The drug was developed by ACELYRIN but its development has been discontinued following completion of an early-phase clinical study in healthy volunteers[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
