Overview

**SM-1** is an investigational oral fixed-dose triple combination of diphenhydramine, delayed-release zolpidem, and delayed-release lorazepam developed for transient insomnia. Diphenhydramine antagonizes histamine H1 receptors, while zolpidem and lorazepam positively modulate gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptors to promote sleep initiation and maintenance. Sequential Medicine originated the product and conducted Phase 3 transient-insomnia studies; Eusol Biotech subsequently listed the program as a Phase 3 sleep-aid asset seeking a development partner.
