SM09 (SinoMab BioScience Limited)

SM09 is a humanized anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody being developed by Sinomab Bioscience for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and various autoimmune diseases. Engineered using the company's proprietary 'framework-patching' technology, SM09 is designed to bind to a unique epitope on the CD20 protein, distinguishing it from established anti-CD20 therapies such as rituximab, obinutuzumab, and ofatumumab. The drug's mechanism of action involves the depletion or modulation of CD20-expressing B cells, which play a critical role in the pathogenesis of B-cell malignancies and autoimmune disorders. SM09 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
