Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SMP-XXX is a preclinical antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Chengdu SciMount Pharmatech (also known as Xiling Lab) for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapeutic candidate is designed to target 5-T4 (trophoblast glycoprotein), an oncofetal antigen that is highly expressed on the surface of various cancer cells—including those in colorectal, ovarian, and lung cancers—but has limited expression in normal adult tissues. This differential expression makes 5-T4 an attractive target for ADC-based therapies. SMP-XXX aims to deliver a cytotoxic payload directly to these tumor cells to minimize systemic toxicity. As of early 2024, the specific payload and linker chemistry remain undisclosed, and the program is in the preclinical candidate (PCC) stage of development.
