Overview

SMT 14400 is an orally available, second-generation imino sugar small molecule being developed as an immunomodulatory therapy with potential applications in infectious diseases, oncology, and allergy. It originates from Summit’s proprietary imino sugar library and is designed to modulate immune responses and host–pathogen interactions, with development focused on bio-defence–related infectious diseases such as anthrax, Ebola, HIV, and influenza, while Summit also pursues its use in cancer and allergic indications.[1][4][17][15]
