Overview

SN-07 is a novel macromolecular antitumor antibiotic. Studies on mouse lymphoid leukemia L1210 cells have shown that SN-07 exhibits cytotoxicity by inhibiting both RNA and DNA syntheses. It also induces DNA interstrand cross-links and DNA breaks. The drug causes inhibition of cell cycle progression, with cells progressing to the G2 phase at cytostatic concentrations and showing typical inhibition at cytocidal concentrations.
