Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SNA018 is a HER2-targeted radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed by SmartNuclide through a licensing agreement with Hober Biotech AB. It is designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to detect and monitor tumors that overexpress the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), primarily in patients with breast cancer and gastric cancer. The agent consists of a high-affinity targeting moiety labeled with radionuclides such as Gallium-68 (68Ga) or Fluorine-18 (18F, sometimes referred to as 68F in specific pipeline contexts). By binding specifically to the HER2 receptor, SNA018 enables non-invasive, whole-body assessment of HER2 expression, which helps clinicians identify patients suitable for HER2-targeted therapies and monitor treatment response, addressing the challenges of tumor heterogeneity often missed by traditional biopsies.
