Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SNA025 is a preclinical-stage theranostic radiopharmaceutical being developed by SmartNuclide (Suzhou SmartNuclide Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd.). It is designed as a radionuclide drug conjugate that utilizes single-domain antibody (nanobody) technology to target the disialoganglioside GD2. GD2 is a ganglioside highly expressed on various solid tumors, including neuroblastoma, melanoma, and certain sarcomas, while maintaining restricted expression in normal tissues. SNA025 is engineered to deliver therapeutic radionuclides, specifically the beta-emitter lutetium-177 (177Lu) or the alpha-emitter actinium-225 (225Ac), directly to tumor sites for targeted cytotoxicity. As a theranostic agent, it is intended to facilitate both diagnostic imaging and therapeutic intervention using the same targeting platform.
