Overview

SNAP-CAR NK is an investigational, universal allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell therapy platform designed for oncology and potentially other indications. The technology replaces the traditional antigen-binding domain of a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) with a SNAP-tag enzyme. This allows the engineered NK cells to covalently bind to any antibody conjugated with a benzylguanine linker, enabling programmable and tunable targeting of multiple tumor antigens through co-administered antibody adaptors. The approach offers flexibility in directing cytotoxic activity against various cancer types by simply changing the targeting antibody, and may allow for titration of therapeutic potency to minimize toxicity such as cytokine release syndrome. Developed initially by Deverra Therapeutics and further advanced by Coeptis Therapeutics Holdings (through its subsidiary SNAP Biosciences), in collaboration with Monarch Therapeutics’ small molecule adaptor technology, this platform aims to provide off-the-shelf cellular immunotherapy that is more accessible than autologous CAR-T therapies[1][2][3][4][5][7].
