SND216 is a novel flavonoid derivative developed as a potential anti-cancer agent. It belongs to a series of selectively modified flavonoid polyphenol scaffolds designed to enhance cytotoxicity and bioavailability compared to natural plant-derived compounds. In preclinical studies presented at AACR 2024, SND216 demonstrated potent anti-proliferative activity in the nanomolar range (median IC50 of 19.5 nM) across various lymphoma models, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL). The compound is part of a chemical series identified as microtubule-targeting agents, which disrupt tubulin dynamics to exert anti-tumor effects. It has shown activity in models of resistance to targeted agents such as BTK and PI3K inhibitors.
