SNHG10 siRNA is a small interfering RNA therapeutic candidate designed to target and degrade the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) SNHG10 (Small nucleolar RNA host gene 10). In pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), SNHG10 is frequently overexpressed and functions as an oncogene by acting as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) that sponges miR-150-5p. This sponging effect prevents miR-150-5p from inhibiting its target, VEGFA, thereby promoting tumor growth, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) through the activation of the EGFR/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. By silencing SNHG10, the siRNA restores miR-150-5p activity, downregulates VEGFA, and inhibits downstream oncogenic signaling, leading to suppressed tumor progression and increased sensitivity to chemotherapy agents like gemcitabine.
