Snigdol

Snigdol is a fixed-dose combination analgesic medication developed and marketed by SNIG Pharma. It contains two active small molecule ingredients: tramadol (37.5 mg) and paracetamol (325 mg), also known as acetaminophen. Tramadol is a centrally acting opioid analgesic that functions as a mu-opioid receptor agonist and a weak inhibitor of the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. Paracetamol is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic that is thought to act primarily in the central nervous system by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. The combination of these two agents provides synergistic pain relief, allowing for effective management of moderate to severe pain with a lower dose of the opioid component. It is available as an oral tablet formulation in the Indian market.
