Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Snigzole D is a fixed-dose combination drug product developed and marketed by SNIG Pharma. It is formulated as a capsule containing pantoprazole (40 mg) and domperidone (30 mg). Pantoprazole is a small molecule proton pump inhibitor that irreversibly binds to the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (the proton pump) of the gastric parietal cell, effectively suppressing the final step of gastric acid production. Domperidone is a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that acts as a prokinetic agent, increasing lower esophageal sphincter pressure and enhancing gastric emptying. This combination is primarily used for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and other acid-related gastrointestinal disorders where both acid suppression and improved motility are clinically indicated. The product is approved and marketed in India.
