Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SNK01 + gemcitabine + carboplatin is a combination therapy consisting of **SNK01**, an autologous, non-genetically modified, enhanced natural killer (NK) cell product, plus the cytotoxic chemotherapeutics **gemcitabine** and **carboplatin**. SNK01 is designed to boost innate immune NK cell-mediated anti-tumor activity even in heavily pretreated cancer patients. The mechanism of SNK01 involves direct tumor cell cytotoxicity, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and immune modulation through markers CD16 (FcγRIIIa), NKG2D, NKp46, and DNAM-1 on the NK cells. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis, and carboplatin is a platinum-based agent causing DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in tumor cells. In combination, these drugs are being evaluated primarily for advanced, EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
