Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Snorenz is a dietary supplement throat spray marketed for the reduction or elimination of snoring. Developed by Med Gen, the product is a combination of natural oils and vitamins, including Vitamin E and Vitamin B6. It is designed to be sprayed onto the back of the throat to lubricate the soft palate and uvula, thereby reducing the vibrations that cause snoring sounds. In the early 2000s, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took enforcement action against the manufacturers for making unsubstantiated claims regarding its efficacy in treating snoring and symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea. It is sold as a consumer product rather than a prescription medication and does not have a specific biological molecular target.
