Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SnoreStop Throat Spray is an over-the-counter homeopathic oral spray developed by Dr. Kenneth Rifkin and manufactured by Green Pharmaceuticals Inc. Launched in 1995, the product is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with non-apneic snoring. The formulation consists of a blend of seven active plant-derived, mineral, and natural ingredients prepared according to the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS) standards: Belladonna, Ephedra vulgaris, Histaminium hydrochloricum, Hydrastis canadensis (Goldenseal), Kali bichromicum (Potassium Dichromate), Nux vomica, and Teucrium marum. These ingredients are intended to target the pharynx, throat tissues, tonsils, and mucous membranes of the upper airway to reduce inflammation and congestion. While registered with the FDA as a homeopathic drug, it has not been formally approved for safety or efficacy, and the FDA does not recognize scientific evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy.
