Snoretox-1 is a novel biologic candidate developed by Snoretox, utilizing a "targeted timulant" or "neurotoxin-decoy" platform. It consists of a modified tetanus toxin combined with a decoy molecule designed to modulate neuromuscular activity. Unlike native tetanus toxin, which causes systemic spasticity, Snoretox-1 is intended to provide localized stimulation of muscle activity. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) in dogs, specifically to improve upper airway muscle tone, and is also being explored for human muscle weakness conditions. A pilot study in British Bulldogs demonstrated clinical observations of its effect.
