SNS-723 is a first-in-class chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting human aspartate β-hydroxylase (ASPH). Developed by Sensei Biotherapeutics, it utilizes a high-affinity single-chain variable fragment (scFv) derived from an anti-ASPH monoclonal antibody to direct T-cells against tumor cells. ASPH is a cell surface enzyme primarily expressed during fetal development but highly overexpressed in various solid tumors, making it a promising target for precision immuno-oncology. The therapy is designed to provide effective tumor targeting while minimizing off-target toxicities to healthy tissues.
