Overview

SNT9465 (also known as SNT-9465) is a topical, small molecule pan-lysyl oxidase (pan-LOX) inhibitor developed by Syntara Limited for the treatment of hypertrophic scarring. By inhibiting the lysyl oxidase enzyme family (LOX, LOXL1-4), the drug prevents the excessive cross-linking of collagen fibers that leads to the formation of thick, raised scars. SNT9465 is currently being investigated in a Phase 1b split-scar clinical trial in adults with hypertrophic sternotomy scars to evaluate its safety, target engagement, and efficacy in reducing scar severity. Syntara positions SNT9465 as a potential first-in-class pharmacological treatment for hypertrophic scarring, with plans to file an FDA Investigational New Drug (IND) application following Phase 1b results.
