SNV-5686 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting WRN (Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase), developed by Synnovation Therapeutics. It is being investigated as a potential therapy for neoplasms, particularly tumors characterized by microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H). Preclinical studies have shown that oral administration of SNV-5686 potently depletes WRN and induces p21 in tumors, leading to significant tumor regression in MSI-H colorectal xenograft models. Toxicology studies have not revealed adverse findings in hematology or clinical chemistry, supporting its potential for combination with standard-of-care agents including chemotherapy.
