SNV1521 is a potent, highly selective, and CNS-penetrant small molecule inhibitor of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1). It is being developed as an oral monotherapy for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. By selectively targeting and inhibiting PARP1, SNV1521 prevents the repair of damaged DNA via the base excision repair pathway, which can lead to cancer cell death—particularly in tumors with homologous recombination deficiency (HRD). The drug aims to improve both efficacy and safety compared to first-generation PARP inhibitors by minimizing off-target effects.
