Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SO-002(FTLD)-D is a preclinical-stage small molecule derivative developed by SOICUM for the treatment of frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD). The compound is designed to target TDP-43 (TAR DNA-binding protein 43) proteinopathy, a pathological hallmark of FTLD characterized by the abnormal aggregation and mislocalization of the TDP-43 protein. As a derivative of the SO-002 program, it is specifically optimized to address the neurodegenerative processes associated with TDP-43 dysfunction in the brain. The drug was identified through SOICUM's Drug-Target-Disease (DTD) database platform.
