Overview

SO-002D is a preclinical-stage small molecule derivative of SO-002 being developed by SOCIUM (SOICUM) for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD). It targets TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), a protein whose pathological aggregation is a hallmark of these neurodegenerative diseases. SO-002D is designed as a new compound derivative to optimize the therapeutic profile of the parent drug SO-002.
