Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sobayovivo is an oral small molecule medication developed and manufactured by the Iranian pharmaceutical company Bakhtar Bioshimi for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis C. The drug's active ingredient is sofosbuvir, a nucleotide analog inhibitor that targets the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. As a prodrug, it is intracellularly metabolized to its active triphosphate form, which acts as a chain terminator during viral RNA replication, thereby inhibiting the replication of the virus. Sobayovivo is marketed in Iran, specifically in a 400 mg dosage form, and is part of Bakhtar Bioshimi's extensive portfolio of antiviral and CNS medications.
