Sobrade is a medical device developed by Pohl-Boskamp for the symptomatic treatment of heartburn and acid reflux. It is formulated as a chewable tablet that, upon mastication, forms a viscous gel complex consisting of carbomer and sodium hyaluronate. This gel adheres to the esophageal mucosa, providing a physical protective barrier against gastric acid and pepsin, thereby facilitating the healing of the irritated lining and providing rapid relief from burning sensations.
