Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOCC-2 is an investigational small molecule potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) developed by Xiamen Encheng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. It functions by reversibly inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase (the proton pump) through competition with potassium ions. Unlike traditional proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), SOCC-2 does not require acid activation and provides a more rapid onset of action with sustained acid suppression. The drug is being evaluated for indications including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers (including those associated with NSAIDs), and Helicobacter pylori infection.
