Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Socketol is a dental surgical preparation developed by lege artis Pharma for the management of tooth extraction sockets. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of alveolitis (dry socket) and as a prophylactic agent following tooth extraction. The formulation acts as both an analgesic and an antiseptic. It contains lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate for local anesthesia, phenoxyethanol and thymol for antiseptic properties, and Peru balsam, which supports wound healing. The paste is applied directly into the alveolus (tooth socket) to alleviate pain and prevent or treat infection when the blood coagulum has disintegrated.
