Overview

SOCS6 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 6 (SOCS6) gene. SOCS6 is a member of the SOCS family that acts as a negative regulator of cytokine signaling and receptor tyrosine kinase pathways, primarily by promoting the ubiquitination and degradation of signaling proteins. In colorectal cancer (CRC), SOCS6 is identified as a tumor suppressor; its knockdown via siRNA has been shown to increase cell viability, colony formation, and migration in vitro. The siRNA is used to investigate the SOCS6-EPOR (Erythropoietin Receptor) axis, where SOCS6 normally regulates EPOR expression. This molecular tool is being explored for its potential in personalized CRC therapy and as a diagnostic marker.
