Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Sodium chloride + magnesium chloride + sodium lactate + dextrose monohydrate + calcium chloride** is a sterile, dextrose-based multi-electrolyte solution for peritoneal dialysis. Dextrose creates an osmotic gradient across the peritoneal membrane to promote ultrafiltration of excess fluid, while dialysis-mediated diffusion removes uremic solutes and the electrolyte and lactate components help maintain a physiologically suitable dialysate environment. The ingredient-only name is not one single fixed-strength product: it encompasses concentration-specific peritoneal dialysis solutions marketed as DELFLEX and DIANEAL variants, with product-dependent dextrose strength, calcium and magnesium concentrations, pH, and osmolality. DELFLEX is labeled for chronic kidney failure, whereas DIANEAL solutions are labeled for acute or chronic renal failure; administration is intraperitoneal only.
