Overview

AT01 (also known as DHP-101) is a fixed-dose combination ophthalmic solution containing sodium hyaluronate and carboxymethylcellulose sodium (CMC), developed by DHP Korea for the treatment of dry eye syndrome. Sodium hyaluronate is a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide that acts as a lubricant and promotes corneal epithelial healing through its interaction with the CD44 receptor. Carboxymethylcellulose is a viscosity-enhancing polymer that provides mucoadhesive properties, increasing the stability and residence time of the tear film on the ocular surface. The combination is designed to provide superior relief of dry eye symptoms compared to monotherapy by combining the regenerative properties of hyaluronate with the long-lasting lubricating effects of CMC. The product was evaluated in Phase II and Phase III clinical trials in South Korea and is marketed under brand names such as Aili-C.
