Hylopan max is an ophthalmic solution containing a combination of sodium hyaluronate (0.15%) and dexpanthenol (2%). Sodium hyaluronate is a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide that acts as a mucomimetic lubricant and tear substitute, providing long-lasting relief for dry eyes by stabilizing the tear film and protecting the ocular surface. Dexpanthenol, a provitamin of B5 (pantothenic acid), promotes epithelial wound healing and provides additional moisturizing properties. This formulation is primarily used to alleviate postoperative discomfort following ocular surgeries, such as cataract extraction, and to treat symptoms of dry eye syndrome by enhancing hydration and supporting the regeneration of the corneal epithelium.
