Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iAluRil is an intravesical glycosaminoglycan (GAG) replacement therapy composed of a combination of sodium hyaluronate (1.6%) and sodium chondroitin sulfate (2.0%). It is designed to restore the protective GAG layer of the bladder urothelium, which is often deficient in chronic inflammatory bladder conditions. By replenishing this barrier, iAluRil prevents the adherence of bacteria and the penetration of irritating substances into the bladder wall. It is primarily indicated for the management of recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTIs), interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS), and radiation- or chemical-induced cystitis. The product is developed and manufactured by IBSA and is administered via intravesical instillation.
