Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination product containing three active ingredients—sodium hyaluronate, vitamin A (retinol or its derivatives), and vitamin E (tocopherol or its derivatives). Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan with strong water-binding properties that provides lubrication and hydration to tissues. Vitamin A acts as an antioxidant and promotes epithelial cell growth, differentiation, and repair. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative damage and supports skin barrier function. The combination has been studied in topical formulations such as eye drops for dry eye disease in diabetic patients with corneal neuropathy[1], as well as in cosmetic products for skin hydration, anti-aging effects, wound healing support, and protection against oxidative stress[2][5]. The mechanisms are primarily local tissue hydration (sodium hyaluronate), promotion of cellular turnover/repair (vitamin A), and antioxidative protection/moisturization (vitamin E).
