Sodium lactate + calcium chloride + magnesium chloride + sodium chloride + dextrose monohydrate is a sterile multi-electrolyte **peritoneal dialysis solution** supplied in varying dextrose strengths and electrolyte compositions. Dextrose monohydrate provides the osmotic gradient that promotes ultrafiltration of excess water across the peritoneal membrane, while sodium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and lactate help maintain dialysate electrolyte composition and acid-base buffering. Delflex formulations are indicated for chronic kidney failure during peritoneal dialysis, while closely related Dianeal formulations are indicated for management of acute or chronic renal failure.
