This quadruple combination may be considered in rare clinical scenarios where co-infection (HIV/HCV) is present, but there is little published evidence or regulatory approval for its use as a single regimen. Primary indications: chronic hepatitis C (sofosbuvir), HIV-1 infection (efavirenz, zidovudine, lamivudine).
