Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SoftOx Biofilm Eradicator** is an investigational topical anti-infective wound-care drug developed for chronic leg wounds, including venous leg ulcers. It is a fixed antimicrobial solution composed of hypochlorous acid and acetic acid. The formulation is designed to penetrate wound biofilms and exert broad-spectrum, non-target-specific microbicidal activity against biofilm-embedded microbes, including antibiotic-resistant bacteria. In the completed first-in-human Phase 1 SBE-01 study, the product was reported to be safe and well tolerated, with reductions in wound bioburden and exploratory signals of wound-size reduction.
