Overview

Solbinsiran (LY3561774) is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed through a global research collaboration between Eli Lilly and Dicerna Pharmaceuticals. Utilizing Dicerna's proprietary GalXC RNAi technology platform, solbinsiran is designed to specifically target and silence the mRNA of angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) in hepatocytes. ANGPTL3 is a key regulator of lipid metabolism, and its inhibition leads to significant reductions in triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, and other blood fat levels. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of mixed dyslipidemia and other cardiometabolic conditions.
