Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Solcera** is a topical medicinal product containing 5% potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution, indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate actinic keratosis in adults with an intact immune system. It is applied lesion-directed twice daily for 28 days using product-specific applicators, functioning as a keratolytic agent that chemically destroys precancerous skin lesions through localized tissue dissolution. Currently under clinical investigation, including the KOHDIAK phase 3 trial (NCT04552327) comparing its efficacy and safety against placebo and diclofenac 3% gel (Solaraze), with primary endpoints focused on complete clearance of lesions.[5][7][9][15]
