Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Soliwax is a multi-ingredient topical otic solution developed and manufactured by NuLife Pharmaceuticals (sometimes referred to as CPC NuLife). It is primarily indicated for the softening and removal of impacted earwax (cerumen). The formulation typically contains paradichlorobenzene, which acts as a cerumenolytic to dissolve hardened wax; benzocaine, a local anesthetic that provides relief from ear discomfort by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels; chlorobutanol, which serves as a preservative and mild local anesthetic; and turpentine oil, which acts as a solvent and lubricant to facilitate wax removal. It is administered topically as ear drops to minimize patient discomfort during the cleaning process.
