Overview

SOLOT-Eye is a humanized anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody (hPV19) developed by Stainwei Biotechnology for the treatment of neovascular retinal diseases. It functions by binding to and neutralizing vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which is a key driver of pathological angiogenesis and vascular permeability in conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Administered via ophthalmic injection, SOLOT-Eye is a specific formulation of the hPV19 antibody, which is also being evaluated in clinical trials for solid tumors under the name Affecizx. The drug works by neutralizing VEGF-driven ocular neovascularization to prevent vision loss in retinal disorders.
