Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOLTOX is a botulinum toxin type A product developed by CELSET, a South Korean biotechnology company specializing in medical aesthetics. Launched in October 2026 for international markets, SOLTOX is a biologic protein neurotoxin complex characterized by a 900 kDa toxin complex, a freeze-dried (lyophilized) dosage form, and an advanced purification process. It is supplied in 100 Unit and 200 Unit presentations as a lyophilized powder intended for reconstitution before administration by qualified medical professionals. SOLTOX is positioned for the medical aesthetics market, where it acts as a neuromuscular blocking agent by targeting synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) and cleaving synaptosome-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25), thereby inhibiting the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction and causing temporary muscle relaxation.
