Soludent

**Soludent** is a commercial chlorhexidine-containing mouthrinse recorded as an intervention in a randomized, double-blind clinical study at Hôpital Militaire de Rabat for control of dental plaque. The associated study compared two commercial chlorhexidine mouthrinses: an alcohol-based 0.12% chlorhexidine formulation and an alcohol-free 0.1% chlorhexidine formulation containing 0.1% formaldehyde. The public trial and publication records do not unambiguously assign which of these two formulations corresponds to Soludent; therefore, its exact concentration, alcohol content, and formaldehyde content are not assigned here. Chlorhexidine is a cationic bisbiguanide oral antiseptic that reduces plaque-associated oral bacteria by disrupting bacterial cell membranes and cellular contents.
