Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOLX is a proprietary red-blood-cell additive and storage solution, also called **AS-7**, used within the SOLX whole-blood collection and leukoreduction system. It is supplied as two additive-solution components that are combined with prepared red blood cells to support refrigerated storage. The associated FDA-approved system is used to prepare leukocyte-reduced CPD/AS-7 red blood cells and plasma products; red blood cells prepared with AS-7 may be stored at 1–6 °C for up to 42 days under the labeled U.S. conditions. SOLX is a blood-component processing and preservation product rather than a conventional disease-directed therapeutic. ([fda.gov](https://www.fda.gov/media/85744/download?attachment=))
