Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOM0777 is an orally available repurposed small molecule antineoplastic agent that selectively inhibits integrin αVβ3 and αVβ5 receptors, thereby blocking tumor cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix, angiogenesis, and invasion in glioblastoma and other malignant cells.[1][5][11][13][14][15] Originally discovered and developed by SOM Biotech (SOM Innovation Biotech) using a drug-repositioning approach, the compound was later licensed to Argon Pharma and is being further developed by U-Cell Therapeutics as an integrin-targeting therapy for glioblastoma, where it has progressed into early clinical evaluation.[1][5][11][13][14][15]
