Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Somnidoron is a homeopathic medicinal product developed by Laboratoires Weleda, primarily indicated for the treatment of minor sleep disorders, such as difficulty falling asleep (sleep latency). It is formulated as an oral solution containing three specific homeopathic strains: *Coffea tosta* (20 DH), *Stramonium* (12 DH), and *Valeriana officinalis* (3 DH). These components are traditionally used to address cerebral excitement, nightmares, and nervousness-related insomnia, respectively. As a homeopathic preparation, it does not target a single molecular pathway but rather aims to restore sleep balance through a multi-ingredient approach. A Phase 4 clinical study has been conducted in France to evaluate its efficacy on sleep parameters.
