**Sonicare BreathRx Tongue Spray** is an alcohol-free topical oral OTC antimicrobial spray developed for management of halitosis. Its drug active ingredient is cetylpyridinium chloride, a quaternary ammonium antiseptic that disrupts bacterial cell membranes and reduces odor-causing oral bacteria. The formulation also incorporates Zytex, a proprietary zinc, thymol, and eucalyptus-oil blend intended to neutralize volatile sulfur compounds responsible for oral malodour. It was designed for application to the tongue, including use with the Philips Sonicare TongueCare+ tongue brush; Philips lists the product as discontinued.
