Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Soodox Active is a topical analgesic pain relief cream formulated with a blend of natural active ingredients, including *Arnica montana* extract, rosemary oil, clove bud oil, eucalyptus oil, and emu oil. Its primary active component, *Arnica montana*, is thought to provide anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and various cytokines, mimicking the action of glucocorticoids without the adverse effects typically associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Developed and marketed by Soodox, the product is indicated for the temporary relief of musculoskeletal pain, mild arthritis (specifically hand osteoarthritis), sports injuries, muscle and joint issues, swelling, strains, and inflammation. It was evaluated in a clinical trial by the University of Canberra comparing its efficacy to Voltaren Emulgel (diclofenac) for hand osteoarthritis pain relief.
